We collect nothing
Last updated 6 September 2026
Rammen has no user account, no server and no analytics. There is nowhere for us to collect data, and we don't.
What the app does with data
- Your images are processed on the phone and sent directly to the TV on your own network. They never leave your home network.
- Settings — the TV's address and any API keys you enter yourself — are stored only on the device.
- The image sources are contacted directly from your phone when you browse art. They see your IP address, as any website does, and have their own privacy policies: the Art Institute of Chicago, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and optionally Rijksmuseum, Pexels and Unsplash.
Permissions the app asks for
- Local network — to find and talk to your art TV.
- Photo library — only to show your own photos inside the app, so you can send them to the TV.
